About
Cubeathon is a modern speedcubing platform for learning the cube, practicing with intent, and watching your progress add up — designed like it matters, because to a cuber, every tenth does.
Speedcubing tools have always been powerful — and almost always overwhelming. Dense screens, cryptic settings, and a learning curve before the learning even starts. We think the craft deserves better: a place where a beginner's first white cross and a competitor's Ao100 grind feel equally at home.
So Cubeathon pairs a precision timer with interactive lessons, honest statistics, and practice tools that stay out of your way. Everything works the moment you open it — no account required, no setup, and your data stays yours.
Hold-to-start with WCA inspection, +2 and DNF penalties, and focus mode that clears the screen the moment you arm it. Millisecond precision, on desktop and touch.
Solve your first 3×3 on a playable cube, step by step — plus a notation guide and an algorithm library written for humans, not walls of arrows.
Ao5, Ao12, Ao100, standard deviation, trends, and a practice heatmap — trimmed averages computed the WCA way from your real solves, never inflated.
Named sessions from 2×2 to 7×7, random-state scrambles for 2×2 and 3×3, and a solve log where every time keeps its scramble.
The core toolkit is free, there are no ads while you solve, and your solves export to JSON whenever you want them. The roadmap is public and honest.
What we believe
Cubeathon is in active development, shaped by cuber feedback. Found a bug or want a feature? Report an issue on GitHub or use the feedback form. Every message is read.
